the project

Building on UNE’s earlier virtual fieldwork initiatives, this project continues to explore innovative ways of bringing real-world environments into digital learning.

Created in collaboration between academics in Geology and the Learning Media team, featuring a refreshed interface and new functionality.
Developed in collaboration with local government to share resources and extend community impact.
Features an expanded collection of localised 3D assets for greater interactivity and engagement.
On-location filming and mapping completed by certified drone pilots to capture detailed site data.
