Services we offer

Animation / Simulation

Our animations and simulations propel learning beyond boundaries, captivating minds with dynamic visuals and interactive scenarios that foster deep understanding and critical thinking.

2d-animation

2D Animation

Explainer animations, process diagrams, and conceptual walkthroughs.
Best suited to abstract ideas, workflows, theories, and step-by-step explanations that benefit from clarity and sequencing.

3d-animation

3D Animation

Spatial, anatomical, architectural, or environmental models.
Used when understanding depends on depth, scale, structure, orientation, or movement through space. These projects can also function as high-impact showcase pieces where visual fidelity and immersion matter.

interactive-simulation

Interactive / Simulations

Interactive activities such as drag-and-drop tasks, decision-based scenarios, or variable manipulation.
Designed to support exploration, comparison, and experimentation within a guided learning context

hybrid-advanced

Hybrid / Advanced

Custom solutions that combine animation, video, interactivity, data inputs, or assessment elements. Typically used for complex systems, capstone experiences, or concepts that benefit from multiple modes working together.

How does Animation / Simulation enhance T&L?

Animation provides a clear and engaging way to bring complex or hard-to-see concepts to life in teaching and learning. Processes that unfold over time, systems with multiple interacting parts, or ideas that are difficult to observe directly, can be visualised in ways that are easier to understand. By visualising these ideas, animation helps reduce cognitive load and supports learners in building accurate mental models.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer both 2D and 3D custom animations. Our skilled team of animators can create dynamic visual content tailored to your specific needs and preferences. Whether you require 2D animations for explainer videos, motion graphics, or 3D animations for in-depth complex visualizations, architectural walkthroughs, or character animations, we have the expertise and tools to bring your ideas to life.

We utilise a variety of software tools to develop our advanced simulations, each carefully selected to suit specific project needs. Many of these tools offer export options to HTML5 for optimised web performance, ensuring seamless integration and smooth user experiences. Among the software we commonly use are Tumult Hype, Rive, and custom HTML+JS solutions. These versatile platforms allow us to create interactive simulations that engage audiences effectively across various devices and platforms.

While the majority of our content is hosted on our own UNE server and delivered from there, we also offer the flexibility to tailor content delivery based on your specific needs. For instance, we’ve developed content designed exclusively for display within the Learning Management System (MyLearn), to seamlessly integrate with your existing educational platforms. Whether you prefer content hosted externally or integrated within your LMS, we can accommodate your requirements to ensure optimal accessibility and user experience.

Examples of Animations / Simulations

Pathophysiology animations

Mansi Dass Singh
Nursing students need deep pathophysiology knowledge for patient care, yet many struggle with complex concepts. Our animations visualize molecular mechanisms, helping connect disease to treatment

Making copyright policy fun!

Emma Mckindley
Transforming copyright compliance into an engaging learning experience through creative animation, turning a typically dry topic into something playful and accessible for academic staff.

Discovery Voyager Interactive Activities

UNE
Collaborated with UNE Discovery Voyager to create 7 online activities: anatomy explorations, water experiments, word puzzles, and celestial journeys.

Oz Soils - An introduction to Soil Science

Ivanah Oliver Richard Flavel
This software was originally built for CD-Rom in 1999. By 2024 a lot of the interactive elements no longer worked and this project was initiated to revive and update this great resource.

Museum of Antiquities rich media

Bronwyn Hopwood
A fun project bringing Bronwyn’s ideas to life in real spaces. We love creating mobile content that deepens the learning experience.

Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre

Bronwyn Hopwood
A fantastic opportunites to cross collaborate in our team between 3D scanning and animation and custom learning artefacts. Using a physical artefact to extend it to three custom learning artefacts.
