We boast a greenscreen chroma-key virtual replacement, a teleprompter script reader, a 62′ lightboard plus other helpful tools to create superior media quality.

We’re continually exploring ways to better support UNE teaching and learning with video content – including expanding our creative environments beyond the core studios. One example is our Videography Studio initiative, where a previously underutilised space has been tested and shaped into a flexible recording environment capable of producing real teaching resources. This space complements our professional studios and helps meet the needs for larger group shoots and scenario‑based filming.
How does videography enhance T&L?
A welcome video is crucial in teaching and learning as it sets the tone for the course and establishes a personal connection between the instructor and students.
It provides an opportunity to outline course objectives, expectations, and key information, helping students feel prepared and engaged from the start. Frequently Asked Questions
The Learning Media Studios are free for UNE teaching staff. We do, however, kindly request that users be mindful of our time and capacity, especially during peak periods when managing workload becomes essential. By respecting these guidelines, we can ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all users while maintaining the quality of our services.
Currently, the studios are primarily reserved for UNE staff members. However, in certain cases, there may be opportunities for student involvement in specific projects. To explore these possibilities, please reach out to your unit coordinator for further guidance and potential arrangements.
Yes for custom videography, we can arrange a custom quote tailored to your specific needs, but unfortunately not the Learning Media studios as these are currently reserved for UNE staff! Feel free to reach out to us to discuss further details and explore the possibilities of working together.
We don’t offer external live-streaming services outside of the University. Whilst we have the capability to live-stream there are several additional requirements that take place with live-streaming, there are additional staff costs and considerations regarding access, we usually handle such requests through UNE’s corporate events team and in collaboration with UNE’s Audio Visual team. If you’re a UNE staff member and interested in live-streaming your event, we recommend reaching out to the corporate events and audio-visual teams for further assistance and coordination.
